(Louisville, Kentucky)— Louisville based LDG Development has been identified as one of the nation’s top developers of affordable housing by a leading online and print publication— Affordable Housing Finance magazine. The ranking is based on the number of units the firm started construction on in 2016. LDG began construction on more than 1,000 units last year and expanded into two states—Tennessee and Georgia. Additionally, the firm strengthened its presence in other markets including Louisiana and Texas and expects to begin construction on several projects in Louisville by the end of the 2017.

Each year, the magazine identifies the nation’s top developers of multi-family developments based on the number of units that the company began construction on during prior year. In 2016, dozens of developers began construction on more than 25,000 units of affordable housing across the country. During this period, LDG broke ground on 1,060 new units of affordable housing in several states and communities.

This year, the company expects to begin construction on 2,000 units in ten developments.
